The disbursement of a total of ZWL$480,641.64 to 14 of the 20 community-initiated projects has been effected in Manicaland, Mashonaland East and Harare provinces. The project will benefit communities in various sectors, which include horticulture, brick moulding, cattle fattening and poultry.

The ministry has managed to register a total of 241 fishery cooperatives as follows: Chivi District, 128 cooperatives; Chiredzi District, 20 cooperatives; Masvingo District, 69 cooperatives; and Mwenezi District, 16 cooperatives.
