Three City of Masvingo officials were arrested by Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) investigators last week for suspected fraudulent operations and appeared in Masvingo Magistrates Court. The Housing and Security Departments' Brian Madamombe (39), Samson Gwamure (41) and Eustina Mukusi (43) appeared before Magistrate Grace Tupiri on fraud accusations, some of which related illegal stand distribution.

The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has arrested Alois Gurajena (48), the Chief Executive Officer of the Murewa Rural District Council, for Criminal Abuse of Duty after he illegally partitioned a farm and assigned stands to house seekers. According to the allegations against Gurajena, Train Farm was leased to Moses Sewera for agricultural purposes in 2003 and has been used for that purpose ever since. Sewera, the lease, was permitted to continue his farming activities after the lease ended. Gurajena is said to have recently partitioned the farm and distributed stands to house seekers.
